The practice is also a research project (PPGAV/UFRGS · OM-LAB/CNPq) that has produced its own vocabulary. Three concepts organize the work:
01 Smartography
A method of 3D capture using the most common device in the world: the phone. Writing (graphy) done with a smartphone, inside the event, with no tripod and no control. Precariousness is not a limitation — it is a position: recording the festival from within it, with the tool anyone carries in their pocket.
02 Rastilhos (fuse-trails)
The remains capture leaves behind: stray points, torn edges, occlusion holes. Like a gunpowder fuse-trail, they are traces that still carry energy — the spark of what happened. In the works, rastilhos are not cleaned up: they are the material.
03 Weak agency
The capacity of the recorded to resist the recording. The body that moves too fast for the sensor, the sequin glare that blinds the LiDAR, the crowd that swallows the operator. An agency that does not confront the apparatus — it slips away from it.
